Some stories were never meant to be forgotten.

Shot on a single roll of 35mm film, this series follows an interracial couple navigating love, race, and separation in 1940s America. Each frame was crafted as part of a deliberate, unbroken cinematic sequence — a narrative told entirely in light and silver halide, without the luxury of a second take.

On May 2nd, see the work the way it demands to be seen: large, in person, and in full. The limited-edition narrative contact sheets — printed on premium cool tone rag photo paper with film borders and frame numbers intact — will be on view until May 30th at Awita New York Studio

This is Chapter One. This is where the anthology begins.
